Here in North Herefordshire, we have suffered with unprecedented levels of October rain. Writing this as storm Ashley crosses the county, we will need to take stock of the implications on our farm. I am certain that there will be delays in the supply of apples and juice as we already have a tractor and loader stuck in our fields, whilst this could be the second year that we fail to plant any winter cereals.
